Christian Finance: Prayer is the Key To Eternal Life and Strong Finances

Scripture: Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Devotion: The key word here is persuaded. A lot of us may think that God controls our thoughts and actions. Well, he is all-powerful and he can if he chooses, but the beauty of our God is that he is able to present the information and allow you to choose. In this scripture, the word persuaded means that there were two options. Well, even in the real world it means there were two options. You could either be one with your Lord and Savior or you could choose to separate yourself. In this case, as people of faith, I'm assuming, we have chosen the former.

They pray for the ability to not allow things to come between you and the promise of eternal life. We speak of money not being the root of all evil but it is the love of money that is the root of all evil because it has caused some men to separate themselves from God. And it is the act of allowing things to separate you from your faith that is the cause of destruction in many of our lives.

So today, I want you to think about what are some things that are coming between you and your savior. What things have you placed in between salvation? And what are you doing to correct it? Is it your job? Is it a family member or friend? Today think about how you can rededicate your life today and identity ways to remove these obstacles from your path.

Prayer: Lord please remove all obstacles in between me and you. I pray that I stay focused on you and will not let the world distract me from building a relationship with you.

About the blog:

Many Christians struggle with the seemingly conflicting views about our faith and the pursuit of financial gain. They were taught that poverty was piety and that a lack of money was the only way to truly detach themselves from the love of money. Our blog debunks some of those claims, teaches you that you can be rich and righteous, and at the same time fulfill your obligation to tithe and give to the less fortunate. We are dedicated to helping you become cheerful givers by organizing your personal finances, providing investment tips to help you create wealth, and encouraging you to create a gifting strategy that will make your family and God proud.
